Annie, a mother of three, who had left school with no qualifications,
joined the project ‘wanting to wake up’.
She
wanted to gain qualifications and confidence to enable her to start
a career. She attended the full range of workshops, and having
completed her CV found part time work on a short term basis.
She
achieved a Level 2 Qualification in Literacy and also found a permanent
part time job as an assistant at a community centre. Four
months later she was promoted to Assistant Manager of the centre,
and is now enjoying her new career.
She says she is ‘like
a different person’ and gained great confidence from her
qualification and her CV, as well as the computer skills. |
